    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Vertiv is seeking an experienced <strong>Production Manager</strong> to lead and oversee manufacturing operations at our Pelzer, SC facility. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing production activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are consistently achieved. The Production Manager will lead and develop supervisors and production teams while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a high-performance culture in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</p>RESPONSIBILITIES\n<ul>\n <li>Plan, execute, and achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets across assigned production areas.</li>\n <li>Implement and maintain visual KPI reporting to drive accountability and high-performing teams.</li>\n <li>Evaluate personnel requirements based on production demands and workforce planning needs.</li>\n <li>Recommend equipment, tooling, and process improvements to support current and future business objectives.</li>\n <li>Identify training needs and ensure appropriate training plans are implemented for production teams and leaders.</li>\n <li>Conduct departmental and tier meetings to ensure communication, alignment, and execution of priorities.</li>\n <li>Ensure all equipment is maintained in safe operating condition; remove unsafe equipment from service when necessary.</li>\n <li>Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and workplace organization.</li>\n <li>Develop and coach supervisors and direct reports through structured skill development and performance planning.</li>\n <li>Plan and schedule production activities while overseeing daily execution across production lines.</li>\n <li>Ensure effective utilization of labor, materials, and equipment to meet production schedules.</li>\n <li>Ensure quality systems are in place, followed, and effective to guarantee product integrity.</li>\n <li>Own accurate costing for assigned work centers and actively identify cost improvement opportunities.</li>\n <li>Monitor production practices, adjust schedules, and address issues to minimize downtime or delays.</li>\n <li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other departments to prevent production disruptions.</li>\n <li>Support and enforce Vertiv policies, procedures, and operational goals.</li>\n</ul>QUALIFICATIONS\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3–5 years of production or manufacturing management experience</li>\n <li>Strong leadership, communication (oral and written), and coaching skills</li>\n <li>Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office</li>\n <li>Ability to lead, develop, and coach a diverse workforce</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field</li>\n <li>Knowledge of ISO standards and Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies</li>\n <li>10&amp;#43; years of experience in production management, scheduling, and assembly operations</li>\n <li>Proven experience driving continuous improvement initiatives</li>\n</ul>PHYSICAL &amp; ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds</li>\n <li>Light to moderate manufacturing environment</li>\n</ul>TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS\n<ul>\n <li>Less than 10%</li>\n</ul>\n<p>At Vertiv, we’re on a mission to empower the people that will power the future.
