In addition to the classroom teaching, the Teacher’s duties include maintaining direct contact with students, parents/guardians, mental health professionals and home school district representatives. The Teacher is also responsible for maintaining detailed student records in compliance with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce standards. <br><br><strong><u>ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</u></strong><ol><li>Plan and teach assigned classes as assigned by Principal.            </li><li>Advise, mentor, guide assigned students as outlined in position summary.</li><li>Communicate with parents/guardians, mental health professionals, and home school districts with consistent updates regarding students’ progress or issues that arise.</li><li>Extend and support therapeutic ideals and goals of the Applewood Educational Services.   </li><li>Collect data on academic, social and behavioral goals as indicated by Intervention Specialists and/or Principal.                                                       </li><li>Substitute for absent staff as needed.                                         </li><li>Cooperate with the educational team regarding planning, decisions and execution of IEP's made in conjunction with the student's home district representative.                                                  </li><li>Complete Progress Reports and other required documentation in a timely manner.             </li><li>Keep all required trainings, certifications and licensure current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.                                                              </li></ol>                                               <br><u><strong>OTHER DUTIES:</strong></u><ol><li>Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.</li><li>All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.</li><li>Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by management.</li></ol><br> <p>Applewood Centers, Inc.
