As an engineer for this forward-thinking organisation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of our applications.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">This opportunity is based in our fully renovated Auckland office</span><span>. We have a hybrid arrangement of Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in office. Tuesdays and Thursdays are work from home. </span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">What You'll Do</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Analyze and optimize system reliability, performance, and resource utilization of cloud infrastructure</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure components.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Design and implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address issues.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents to ensure system stability and performance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future resource needs and optimize infrastructure scalability.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Define and track reliability metrics to measure and improve system performance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Prepare and present reports on system reliability and performance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Work closely with software development teams to influence and improve the reliability and scalability of applications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Conduct post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Bring</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">7+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE or similar role</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Relevant experience in software engineering, systems administration, or a related field.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python, Go, Ruby)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong scripting skills for automation tasks (e.g. Bash, Python)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. Google Cloud, AWS) and container orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes), including adherence to best practices and resource optimisation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">A proficient understanding of core networking concepts (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform) and/or configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Experience with infrastructure monitoring, logging and alerting tools (e.g. Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty), and log analysis</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif;
