    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Summary:</strong></p><p>The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring a product or component meets the established standards of quality including performance reliability, usability and performance. Verifying quality standards in accordance with the requirements of the organization. &nbsp;Communicate effectively within all levels and across functions of organization to discuss and resolve quality issues in a timely manner. Support and drive effective problem solving to improve manufacturing yield performance.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Identify and help resolve non-conforming product issues</li><li>Monitoring production operations for compliance with specifications and promptly reported defects</li><li>Maintain a high standard of workmanship by using only approved data, materials, tools and test equipment</li><li>Utilize gauges, tools, and equipment to complete in-depth assessments</li><li>Inspect outbound shipments and conduct the random sampling to ensure product quality</li><li>Perform preliminary, in progress, hidden damage and final product inspections</li><li>Evaluate incoming quality, in-process quality and outgoing quality for compliance with standards</li><li>Routinely check measuring equipment to resolve testing problems</li><li>Identify defects during daily checks</li><li>Discard and reject products, materials and equipment that did not meet specifications</li><li>Correspond with clients through email, telephone, or postal mail</li><li>Complete precise measurements using special tools</li><li>Perform visual inspections and non-destructive tests where appropriate</li><li>Reject defective products and approve correct products</li><li>Keep work environments safe and efficient at all times</li><li>Support the company in maintaining a work environment focused on quality, communication, collaboration, integration, and teamwork</li><li>Control and care of quality inspector&rsquo;s goals</li><li>Perform additional duties as required</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>B.S. degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred); or equivalent experience, such as 10+ years of progressive quality experience, preferably with at least 2 years in the Lithium-ion battery or related manufacturing industry</li><li>Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation</li><li>Critical thinking and an analytical approach to problem solving</li><li>Able to work flexible hours occasionally to support team</li><li>A positive, dedicated attitude and demonstrated effectiveness&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role in an automotive manufacturing environment including internship or co-operation</li><li>Hi-volume production, control plans, PFMEAs, and process controls preferred</li><li>Knowledge of IATF16949 standards</li><li>Report writing in Microsoft Word and graphical analysis in Minitab is strongly preferred</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Capability to use MS-office and Minitab programs, six sigma, 8D problem solving</li><li>Ability to analyze data and prepare reports, statements and projections</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>HL-GA Battery Company is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer that values the diversity of its workforce</strong></p><p><br></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
