Experience: Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a mental health setting with a minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.  Demonstrated clinical experience in psychological assessment.  AGENCY SUMMARY: Applewood Centers is a private, nonprofit agency providing mental health services, social services and education to children, adolescents and families living in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. Dedicated to addressing a variety of behavioral, emotional and learning problems, we provide a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment. SUMMARY: Under administrative and clinical supervision of the Director of Community Services, the Supervising Psychologist provides guidance, instruction and direct supervision to assigned outpatient therapists, psychology APA Interns,  Psychology Post Docs and psychology practicum students (and, by assignment, staff from other programs). Also facilitates therapists’ acquisition of skills for delivery of assessment, psychological testing, and psychotherapy as well as staff implementation of selected evidence based treatment models. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provide clinical and administrative supervision to department staff (and other program staff as assigned) during team meetings, individual and group supervision. Supervise the psychology interns and postdoctoral fellow on psychological assessments or ensure this is received by another Supervising Psychologist. This will include face-to-face supervision, didactics on assessments, and careful and timely reading and revising of psychological assessments, and chart reviews consistent with agency policies. Provide didactics to APA interns as required by the program.    In cooperation with the Supervising Psychologist / Psychology Training Director participate in Internship Committee activities including recruitment, evaluation, committee meetings and APA site visits. Provides consultation and input on intake decisions as requested and assist with the Intake Department in coordinating referrals for the department.   Oversee staff performance of report writing and revises reports in the time required by the Agency. Assure that standards/regulations set by accrediting and/or licensing bodies are maintained by staff. Monitor and facilitate staff development of skills in chosen evidence based models.     Train and develop staff in documentation skills and monitors adherence to agency policies and procedures. Monitor and ensure staff compliance with required timelines on the completion of clinical documents, case summaries, outcomes or other requirements of the agency or program in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.  Maintain supervision records throughout the year toward complete and accurate performance evaluations for each assigned staff member. Track staff productivity on a weekly basis and assists, as needed, with the development of improvement strategies. Complete QI/QA reviews for clinical services, monitor QI/QA results for assigned staff, develops plans of correction as needed and follow up to ensure that corrections have been completed. Collaborate with other supervisory and administrative staff on projects and the development and implementation of solutions to effective care delivery. Perform advocacy and liaison work with schools, the juvenile justice system, social services and other community partners as needed. Participate in the interviewing and selection of candidates for clinical positions within the agency. Collaborate with agency staff and administration on behalf of program changes.                                                                                     Apply professional training to revise and update supervisory and clinical practice. Maintain a good on-time attendance record. Participate in Wingspan Committees as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned. OTHER DUTIES: Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training. All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment.  All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material. Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures. Maintain awareness of industry trends and professional knowledge by attending agency training, maintaining continuing education standards and reviewing professional publications.
