This position plays a vital role in advancing critical mission objectives within a highly regulated and technically demanding environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a trusted partner to government agencies and national laboratories, Omega Technical Services supports some of the nation's most complex and high-impact programs. Through these strategic collaborations, Omega contributes directly to the strength, security, and sustainability of the U.S. Nuclear Security Enterprise.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li> Plan, organize, and coordinate process/mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects through project startup.</li>\n <li>Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to P&ID development.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to mechanical systems, water and waste systems, and equipment design.</li>\n <li>Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications</li>\n <li>Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li> Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 5 or more years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. </li>\n <li>Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check. </li>\n <li>Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance. </li>\n <li> Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred. </li>\n <li>Previous DOE/NNSA work experience. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Schedule</h2>Shift will be dependent upon customer site discretion.\n<h2>Why Omega Technical Services?</h2>\n<p>Omega Technical Services is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and a trusted partner to the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and other commercial clients, supporting mission-critical projects that shape national security and technological innovation.
