At each of the five program areas (aquatics, leadership, sports, knowledge is power, and art) campers engage in quality programming and learn the skills they need to succeed outside of camp. Our core values of fun, respect, responsibility, character, courage, and community drive the camp experience and create a safe, fun environment for campers to develop as young leaders. We strive to build a staff and board that is reflective of the communities that we serve.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>ROLE</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Title/</span><span>Position:</span></span></span><br><span><span>Music/Performance Coordinat</span></span><span><span>or</span><br></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Reports to:</span></span></span><br><span><span>Art Director</span><br></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Location:</span></span></span><br><span><span>Camp Harbor View, Long Island, Boston MA (ferry transportation provided)</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Hours:</span></span></span><br><br><span><span>Seasonal, Full-Time; </span></span><span><span>June 18th (Adjustable if needed)- August 2</span><span>1</span></span><span><span>st</span></span><span><span>; </span></span><span><span>8:15 am to 4:45 pm</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>RESPONSIBILITIES</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Lead middle school-aged youth in </span><span>music and performing arts </span><span>programming</span><span>;</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Assist</span><span> with the development of </span><span>a variety of developmentally </span><span>appropriate </span><span>music</span><span> and performing arts </span><span>activities</span><span>;</span><br></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Assist with the supervision and positive behavior guidance of campers participating in programming at </span><span>art</span><span> and across the camp community, </span><span>including, but not limited to, performances, lunch, and the </span><span>ferry</span><span>;</span><br></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Support program partners to ensure the success of </span><span>programming</span><span>;</span><br></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Coach and mentor high school-aged youth in the Leader in Training (LIT) program, regularly communicating to both the </span><span>Art</span><span> Director and LIT staff regarding the LIT</span><span>’</span><span>s job </span><span>performance;</span><br></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Assist with the initial and end of summer inventory and security and maintenance of materials, equipment and other resources belonging to the art program </span><span>area;</span><br></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of the art program areas;</span><span> and</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Other duties that support the Camp Harbor View community as specified by the Art Director and year-round leadership. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>QUALIFICATIONS</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>18+ years of </span><span>age;</span><br></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Working toward a BA or BS in related field preferred, equivalent experience </span><span>considered;</span><br></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Experience developing and delivering arts programs for youth </span><span>preferred;</span><br></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Interest in and knowledge of trends in </span><span>music and performing arts </span><span>programming, techniques and</span><span> theory, an</span><span>d utilization of technology in the arts </span><span>fields;</span><br></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>At least 1 month of experience working with </span><span>youth;</span><br></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Strong interpersonal and communication </span><span>skills;</span><br></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ability to supervise and teach middle school-aged </span><span>youth;</span><br></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds; and </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>",
