Our mission is to make disciples who press on to maturity, rooted in the word of God and empowered by the Spirit of God. Hillside Kids Age-Group Lead will oversee and guide the leaders of small groups within their assigned age group. This role is integral to ensuring an engaging, supportive, and spiritually enriching environment for children. The Age-Group Lead will be responsible for coaching and equipping small group leaders, planning age-appropriate activities aligned with weekly Biblical lessons, and fostering a sense of community and collaboration within the team.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">QUALIFICATIONS:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Passion for working with children and a strong commitment to an ongoing discipleship with Jesus.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Proven experience in children’s ministry, teaching, or a related field.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Excellent communication, organizational and planning skills.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">A team player with a servant’s heart and a desire to build a strong sense of community.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to adapt to varying needs and challenges with creativity and problem-solving skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Member of Hillside Fellowship Church.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Must pass a background check and adhere to the Hillside’s child protection policies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(8, 8, 8); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrates a maturing relationship with Jesus Christ and embodies the culture/values of Hillside. (Galatians 5:22-23)</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Experience leading a team or supervising volunteers</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Familiarity with lesson planning</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Certification or training in child development or education is a plus</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Coaching and Mentoring Leaders:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provide guidance, support, and encouragement to small group leaders</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Conduct regular check-ins and coaching sessions to ensure leaders are equipped and confident in their roles</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Offer constructive feedback to improve group dynamics and teaching methods<br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Planning Activities and Lessons:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate with the Hillside Kids Ministry team to create age-appropriate activities that reinforce weekly lessons</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Adapt and prepare materials for leaders to use in their groups</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ensure activities are Biblical, engaging, meaningful, and aligned with Hillside's mission and values</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate with Hillside Kids Leadership Team to present trainings and events.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Administrative Duties:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Organize schedules, leader assignments, and resources for small groups</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Assist in recruiting and onboarding new leaders when needed</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Building Team Camaraderie:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Cultivate a winsome and collaborative environment among leaders</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Plan occasional meetings or social events to strengthen relationships and morale within age-group team</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Act as a liaison between the Hillside Kids Team Lead and small group leaders to maintain clear communication and a unified team vision</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">WORK SCHEDULE:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Up to 15 flexible hours per week, with the expectation of availability during weekend services and occasional evening/weekend events</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Weekly Hillside Kids Team meeting</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families, while fostering growth and unity within the small group leadership team.
