We encourage our teams to connect on multiple levels and support each other’s personal and professional growth.<br><strong><br>Go beyond the job ad:</strong> Uncover projects that ignite your passion. <a href=\"https://www.fehrgraham.com/what-we-do/municipal-engineering\">Municipal Engineering - Fehr Graham<br></a><strong><br>What you’ll do</strong></div><ul><li><!--block-->Serve as the primary on-site representative for construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory standards.</li><li><!--block-->Manage and oversee day-to-day field operations for roadways, bridges, utility installations, and other civil infrastructure projects.</li><li><!--block-->Coordinate with contractors, subconsultants, municipal clients, and regulatory agencies to resolve issues and maintain project progress.</li><li><!--block-->Perform and document field inspections, materials testing, and quality control procedures.</li><li><!--block-->Monitor construction schedules and budgets; proactively identify and address potential delays or overruns.</li><li><!--block-->Maintain accurate project records, field notes, daily reports, and change documentation.</li><li><!--block-->Ensure adherence to safety protocols and project-specific requirements.</li><li><!--block-->Provide leadership and mentorship to field staff and engineering interns.</li><li><!--block-->Support project managers with closeout documentation, punch lists, and final inspections.</li></ul><div><!--block--><strong>What it takes</strong></div><ul><li><!--block-->Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.</li><li><!--block-->Licensed EIT preferred, Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.</li><li><!--block-->5+ years of experience in construction engineering, including roadway or municipal infrastructure projects.</li><li><!--block-->Experience with WisDOT and/or IDOT projects, specifications, and documentation procedures is highly preferred.</li><li><!--block-->Proficiency in construction inspection, documentation, and contract administration.</li><li><!--block-->Familiarity with field tools and software such as AASHTOWare Project, Microsoft Excel, and CAD-based systems.</li><li><!--block-->Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.</li><li><!--block-->Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites in the region.</li></ul><div><!--block--><strong>What you’ll get<br></strong>You’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow professionally at our progressive firm, which started in 1973.
