Our mission is to deliver the highest quality professional services while prioritizing our employees’ well-being and fostering an exceptional workplace environment. </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p> <strong>What You Will Do</strong> </p>\n<p>As a Remote Instrumentation and Controls Designer, you will be responsible for the Instrumentation and controls design of industrial facilities, primarily oil and gas. The designer will take client/project requirements, direction from engineer, national and customer standards and produce designs that meet those requirements, as well as coordinate with drafters and/or other designers for plan drawings. </p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><strong>A Typical Day at Prime Controls</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs client contact duties when required by the project engineer, project manager, or account manager (PM/AM). </li>\n <li>Coordinates with project engineer, PM/AM, and other disciplined engineers. </li>\n <li>Performs site investigations. </li>\n <li>Responsible for specification adherence. </li>\n <li>Cost estimating to assist the project engineer.</li>\n <li>Read and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), equipment wiring diagrams, and communicate with customers to understand objectives and control philosophies.</li>\n <li>Develop Instrument Index from P&ID.</li>\n <li>Develops BOMs, IO lists, and other requirements for control panels</li>\n <li>Coordinate and provide directions to panel and I&E site designers </li>\n <li>Develop controls cable, conduit and tray routing schedules.</li>\n <li>Performs wire and conduit sizing calculations, voltage drop calculations, and conduit fill calculations. </li>\n <li>Works with others to address design problems as necessary.</li>\n <li>Responsible for designing:  \n  <ul>\n   <li>Site instrument  and cable/conduit layout plans </li>\n   <li>Communication network topology</li>\n   <li>PLC control panels</li>\n   <li>Area classification drawings based on P&IDs, piping and plot plans </li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What You Will Bring</strong> </p>\n<p><strong><em>The Basic</em></strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>4 years Industrial Controls experience in architectural, engineering or construction (AEC) industry or similar field. </li>\n <li>4 years experience as Automation Specialist, System Integrator or I&C designer.</li>\n <li>Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related Bachelor’s discipline, related degree from a Technical College or equivalent Industrial controls experience. </li>\n <li>Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, cabling, conduit, and network protocols like Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Profibus.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with networking hardware (Ethernet switches, protocol converters, Copper and/or fiber cables)</li>\n <li>Knowledge and experience in PLC and HMI programming. </li>\n <li>Knowledge and experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens and other PLC systems </li>\n <li>Knowledge of selecting and specifying appropriate sensors, transmitters, and control valves</li>\n <li>Ability to read, understand, and apply customer standards. </li>\n <li>Ability to help create and follow company processes. </li>\n <li>Experience with Navisworks and AutoCAD.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>The Preferred</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>EIT certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p><strong>What We Offer:</strong> </p>\n<p>Full-time employees enjoy a great benefits package including, but not limited to: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Health, Dental, and Vision coverage </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Flexible Spending Account(s) </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Generous PTO </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Numerous culture events </li>\n <li>ESOP</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>401k matching and more! </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Environment & Physical Demands (Text Only)</h2>Physical requirements and work environment expectations vary by position.
