Both positions play a vital role in delivering high-quality tile installations across a variety of settings.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Tile Setter Responsibilities:<br><br></span><span>Install various types of </span><span>tile</span><span> including ceramic, porcelain, and stone with precision and efficiency<br></span><span>Interpret layouts and follow design plans with accuracy<br></span><span>Mix, apply, and spread mortar, thin set</span><span>, or mastic on floors, walls, and ceilings<br></span><span>Cut and shape tiles to fit around obstacles using hand tools and power tools<br></span><span>Work on a variety of surfaces, including walls, floors, and ceilings<br></span><span>Ensure that installations are level, aligned, and clean<br></span><span>Collaborate closely with tile finishers to maximize productivity</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Tile Finisher Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><span><br>• </span><span>Assist tile setters with layout, preparation, and installation tasks<br></span> <span>• </span><span>Understand and apply surface preparation techniques including membranes and </span><span>underlayment's<br></span> <span>• </span><span>Mix and apply grout and caulking with attention to detail<br></span> <span>• </span><span>Stock and handle materials for the tile setter to ensure smooth workflow<br></span> <span>• </span><span>Perform site cleanup, tile sealing, and final detailing of finished surfaces<br></span> <span>• </span><span>Communicate clearly with tile setters and job site supervisors</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Requirements for Both Roles:<br><br></span></p>\n<p><span>• </span><span>Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly<br></span> <span>• </span><span>Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, squatting, bending, and working on scaffolds<br></span> <span>• </span><span>Strong math and measuring skills for accurate layout and cuts<br></span> <span>• </span><span>Keen eye for detail, symmetry, and quality craftsmanship<br></span> <span>• </span><span>Understanding of artistic balance and color coordination<br></span> <span>• </span><span>Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE)<br></span> <span>• </span><span>Basic knowledge of industry materials and tools<br></span> <span>• </span><span>Reliable transportation and punctuality</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>If you enjoy physical, hands-on work, have an appreciation for design and precision, and thrive in a team environment, a career in </span><span>the tile</span><span> trade may be right for you.</span></p>",
