    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Hours</strong>: full-time (37.5 hours per week)</p><p><strong>Location</strong>: &nbsp; Lynchburg, VA and Amherst, VA</p><p><br></p><p><strong>NIGHT SHIFT: &nbsp;Three (3) shifts per week, working 6:00 PM to 6:30 Am (12.5 hours each)</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>POSITION SUMMARY</u></strong></p><p>The Residential Technician focuses on supporting individual&rsquo;s progress toward goals that are identified as meaningful by individuals and their support resources, as week as provide supports for the overall health and safety of all of the individuals. &nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</u></strong></p><ul><li>High School diploma / GED</li><li>Prior direct care experience is preferred. &nbsp;</li><li>CNA certificate preferred but not required.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>RELATED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES</u></strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of Horizon&rsquo;s quality care standards to ensure service delivery supports Horizon&rsquo;s mission and values.</li><li>Knowledge of electronic health records and documentation standards as required by the program.</li><li>Ability to effectively communicate verbally, person-to-person.</li><li>Ability to implement training programs for the individuals.</li><li>Safely assist individuals with all aspects of physical management including equipment use, safe lifting and physical assistance.</li><li>Knowledge and ability to operate a computer, utilize and electronic health record, electronic timesheet, and other software/systems used by Horizon.</li><li>Able to respond quickly to correct situations deemed to be hazardous, especially to consumers.</li><li>Knowledge and ability to use personal protective equipment in a manner that is compliant with standard precautions and safety expectations.</li><li>Ability to drive and must possess a valid Virginia driver&rsquo;s license. May be called upon to travel to any Horizon worksite; transport clients, provide services to clients at other locations.
