We offer a unique opportunity to join a growing, community and client-focused company that is firmly rooted in its core values.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Summary </strong> </p>\n<p>We are currently seeking a Balance and Control Specialist.  This position will primarily be responsible for reconciliations relating to branch, loans, deposit, cash and general ledger accounts. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Salary Range</strong></p>\n<p>The salary range for this position is $17.00/Hr. - $29.75/Hr.. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities</strong> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountability 1: Reconciliations</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for the preparation and completion of detailed assigned reconciliations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for the clearance of items from these reconciliations and recommend procedural enhancements to the department, as appropriate, to minimize or eliminate the daily volume of outstanding exception entries </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible ensuring that all stale outstanding items are followed through timely </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountability 2: Account Research & Reporting</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Account Research: Perform retrieval of statement and/or check copies from image archives; also ability to recreate statement activity. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Fulfill periodic reporting/data requests for the Financial Reporting department, auditor request etc. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountability 3: SLA’s & Compliance</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Meet department service level agreements while keeping quality high </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify methods of improving both functional and departmental efficiencies that contribute to improved delivery of quality service and have potential to reduce expenses </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Proactive in recognizing issues to be escalated in order to minimize financial loss to the company. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain adequate controls to ensure compliance with consumer protection statutes/regulations in a defined area of responsibility </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Implement bank-directed policy changes related to regulatory amendments </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Cross train on all duties of department </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Participate in all required training sessions for compliance</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Competencies for </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Promotes Change -Seeks to understand and embrace change </li>\n <li>Compelling Communication -Openly and effectively communicates with others </li>\n <li>Makes Decisions & Solves Problems -Seeks deeper understanding and takes action  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Education Requirements</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Degree required, some college preferred </li>\n <li>3-5 years accounting experience required </li>\n <li>Experience in utilizing Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) </li>\n <li>Position requires the need to work varied hours/days including occasional overtime as business dictates.  </li>\n <li>Proficiency working in spreadsheets </li>\n <li>Ability to acquire and use new skills as job requires </li>\n <li>Ability to resolve outstanding issues with intermediate supervision </li>\n <li>Basic understanding of banking regulations and Federal Reserve rules, as well as Bank policy as it relates to Deposit Operations   </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Key Measures of Success/Key Deliverables:</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to identify, problem-solve and exercise good judgment concerning the disposition of daily issues as they arise. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Old National is proud to be an equal opportunity employer focused on fostering an inclusive workplace and committed to hiring a workforce comprised of diverse backgrounds, cultures and thinking styles.</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As such, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status, status as a qualified individual with disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>We do not accept resumes from external staffing agencies or independent recruiters for any of our openings unless we have an agreement signed by the Director of Talent Acquisition, SVP, to fill a specific position.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Our culture is firmly rooted in our core values.</em></strong></p>\n<p><strong><em>We are optimistic.
