Counselors will do this by leading small groups, planning and leading camp activities, and providing care to our campers.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #244c5f; font-family: Arial; font-size: 22px\">Essential Job Functions</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Lead a small group (5-10) of elementary campers daily</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Build strong, positive relationships with campers under their care as well as parents</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Lead campers in spiritual development </span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Help plan, set up, and implement activities each day for camp</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Participate in staff meetings, ongoing development, and all staff activities</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Support and develop volunteers</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Help in the daily maintenance of camp</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Help with extended care at minimum 1-2x a summer</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Other duties as assigned</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #244c5f; font-family: Arial; font-size: 22px\">Personal Competencies</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Faith: </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The role requires someone who loves Jesus and desires to help kids and students know Him as well</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Energy: </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Camp is a high-energy experience, so being able to meet that energy and encourage kids to be involved is key.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Relational: </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to connect with co-workers, parents, students, and kids</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Shepherding: </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Passion to help develop and grow kids and students</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #244c5f; font-family: Arial; font-size: 22px\">Requirements</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Minimum 16 years of age</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Experience working with kids as a volunteer or staff is ideal</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Available for Staff Training and minimum four of five camp weeks<br></span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to comply with Parkview Community Church and Parkview Kids Camp staff policies and procedures</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Growing and committed follower of Jesus</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px\">Position Structure</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Reports to: Program Director</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Category: Full-Time, Hourly, Seasonal Staff</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Dates: May 30-July 18, 2026 (camp will not meet June 29-July 3, 2026)</span></p>",
