This role contributes to RMF execution, security engineering support, vulnerability management, cyber compliance, assessment support, and preparation of client-facing technical documentation. The Consultant II is expected to work effectively across multiple assignments and contribute meaningfully to project execution for multiple cybersecurity opportunities.</p>\n<p><strong>What You Will Do:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support delivery of cybersecurity services across multiple projects to meet client requirements, schedules, and budgets.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Perform assigned technical tasks in support of project execution.</li>\n   <li>Participate in project and client meetings and provide updates on assigned work.</li>\n   <li>Conduct research, data gathering, and technical analysis to support project objectives.</li>\n   <li>Prepare written documents, reports, presentations, and other client deliverables.</li>\n   <li>Track and report hours spent executing projects.</li>\n   <li>Support quality checks on deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Perform assigned work in support of:\n  <ul>\n   <li>RMF package development and updates.</li>\n   <li>Security control implementation support.</li>\n   <li>Assessment and authorization activities.</li>\n   <li>Vulnerability identification and remediation tracking.</li>\n   <li>Compliance documentation and review.</li>\n   <li>Secure configuration and patching support.</li>\n   <li>Technical reporting and presentation development.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Gather, analyze, and organize technical, operational, and compliance information from systems, stakeholders, and project teams.</li>\n <li>Assist with development of SSPs, POA&amp;Ms, security procedures, reports, diagrams, inventories, and other required deliverables.</li>\n <li>Review vulnerability scan results and support remediation planning and status tracking.</li>\n <li>Help evaluate systems and documentation against NIST, DoD, DON, NAVSEA, MSC, and contract-specific requirements.</li>\n <li>Support development of conclusions and recommendations based on research and analysis.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with project managers, senior consultants, engineers, and analysts to meet client expectations.</li>\n <li>Support proposal development and other business development activities as requested.</li>\n <li>While the position is remote, regular travel (50%+) to client sites and project locations is a core part of the role.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What You Will Need:</strong></p>\n<p><u>Education and Experience</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.</li>\n <li>1-3 years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, RMF, information assurance, or systems security.</li>\n <li>Must have or be able to get and maintain an Active Security Clearance.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Professional certification preferred. (Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GSEC, CND, CCNA Security, CGRC)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting NIST Risk Management Framework activities and cybersecurity documentation.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53, vulnerability management, and security compliance concepts.</li>\n <li>Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus or ACAS.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with eMASS and related documentation repositories preferred.</li>\n <li>Understanding of networking fundamentals, operating system security, and system hardening principles.</li>\n <li>Ability to analyze technical information and translate findings into clear written documentation.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.</li>\n <li>Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.</li>\n <li>Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Python or PowerShell is a plus.</li>\n <li>Experience in Navy, MSC, NAVSEA, RMF, or federal cybersecurity environments is preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Salary</strong><br>\n $70 - $80K</p>\n<p><strong>Country Requirements</strong></p>\n<p>U.S. Citizenship required for roles supporting government contracts.</p>\n<p><strong>Reporting Relationships:</strong></p>\n<p>Reports to a Manager.</p>",
