    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>The Lead is responsible for coordinating day-to-day machining and repair activities with efficiency, quality, and safety.&nbsp; The Lead will accomplish this through directing the work flow in the shop, ensuring safe work practices are followed, and will provide guidance to other machinists as required.</p>\n<p><strong>This is a dayshift position 6am - 2:30pm</strong></p>\n<p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage and coordinate operators and machinists in the facility.</li>\n <li>Review and coordinate production schedule, confirming targets are met on a daily basis.</li>\n <li>Set up and operate lathes or other machines.</li>\n <li>Interpret engineering drawings for specifications, set up and operating requirements.</li>\n <li>Clean machine, tooling and parts, and may perform minor machine maintenance.</li>\n <li>Assist with recruitment, promotions and employee relations.</li>\n <li>Drive safety, quality, 5S, and house-keeping throughout the machine shop area in the facility.</li>\n <li>Coach, mentor, and help others to improve their knowledge or skills.</li>\n <li>May complete tasks of operators and machinists.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Trade Certification</li>\n <li>Kronos</li>\n <li>Achieve</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Trade certification ticket or applicable training/experience required.</li>\n <li>communication and management skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>HSEQ REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborate with HSE on all near miss / incident reporting to identify root causes and improve processes.</li>\n <li>Be a HSEQ champion, demonstrating HSEQ compliance and support for HSEQ initiatives.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><i><strong>This position is classified as safety sensitive and employment would be conditional on satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screen.</strong></i></p>\n<p><strong>Preferred method of application and to view all opportunities visit:</strong>&nbsp; <a href=\"https://www.nov.com/Careers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><u>https://www.nov.com/Careers</u></a></p>\n<p><strong>NOV is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination or Harassment of Any Kind</strong>: NOV is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunities for everyone and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
