    "jobDescription": "Outpatient Imaging - White Oak<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><h2><a href=\"http://www.myworkday.com/adventisthealthcare/d/task/3005$4482.htmld\" target=\"_blank\">If you are a current Adventist HealthCare employee, please click this link to apply through your Workday account.</a></h2><h2><i><b> </b></i></h2>Adventist Outpatient Imaging seeks to hire an experienced Registered Radiology Tech for our Outpatient Imaging office in Silver Spring, MD who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. <br>Qualified candidates will be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus. (Current AHC employees not eligible – see below under additional details.)<br><br>As a Registered Radiologic Technologist you will: <br>• Performs diagnostic imaging studies per protocol. Properly identifies patients, reviews orders and selects diagnostic x-ray protocol in order to maximize quality and safe patient care.<br>• Accurately performs documentation in all computer systems applicable to diagnostic x-ray (HIS, RIS, PACS,).<br>• Monitors and assists patients, before during and after examinations. Maintain a clean and safe environment.<br>• Knowledgeable and practices ALARA principles including proper shielding of patients.<br>• Maintain patient, organizational and employee confidentiality.<br>• Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients we serve i.e., pediatrics, geriatric and adolescent patients.<br>• Receive patients, explains procedures and answers all patient questions and concerns pertaining to the exam.<br>• Maintains schedule with a flexible attitude to accommodate variable volume.<br>• Assists in orienting new employees, and training radiography students.<br>• Participates in PI projects and other duties as assigned.<br><br>Qualifications include:<br>• High school or GED required. <br>• Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography/and OR associate degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred)<br>• 1 year’s radiography experience preferred<br>• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) R.T.(R)<br>• State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license<br>• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required<br>• Strong customer service &amp; critical thinking skills<br>• Actions and attitudes support Adventist HealthCare’s mission and RISES values.<br>• Effective verbal and written skills<br>• Ability to work independently in a busy, fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously<br>• Basic PC skills including RIS/PACS experience<br>• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer)<br>• Knowledge of office  practices, procedures, and equipment<br>• Stocking and management of supplies/linen  for assigned area<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\">Work Schedule:</p><h3><b><span>Employment Type:</span></b><span> Full Time</span></h3><div><h3><b><span>Hours per Week:</span></b><span><span> 40 Hours</span></span></h3></div><div><h3><b><span>Typical Daily Schedule:</span></b><span><span> Monday through Friday 8:00AM- 4:30PM</span></span></h3></div><div><h3><b><span>Shift Type:</span></b><span><span> Day Shift</span></span></h3><p></p><p></p><p>$10,000 sign- on bonus over 3 installments (paid at 90 days, 1 year, &amp; 2 years of hire date)<i> *Current AHC employees are <u>not</u> eligible for a sign-on bonus who are transferring from one entity to another and/or transferring within their entity.
