Job Summary:
Applies organization policies and procedures to oversee a variety of ongoing administrative operational issues. Administers defined operational program. Analyzes and resolves operational problems of moderate scope.
Reporting to the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences HR & Academic Affairs Unit Manager, the HR Analyst conducts/facilitates departmental HR efforts. The HR Analyst is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, administering, and coordinating departmental academic and staff recruitments, appointments, onboarding, advancement, and off boarding processes for the volunteer, affiliate and UC Affiliate populations. These duties are performed in close collaboration with central Human Resources for both staff and academics. The HR Analyst uses advanced skills and knowledge of UC systemwide and/or organizational HR policies and programs to address strategic personnel issues and to resolve complex issues and situations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. 1+ years of related experience Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing. Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and professionally in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient. Demonstrated ability to deftly and with professional demeanor handle last-minute changes. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at several UCSF locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs. Experience using and building forms in Smartsheet.
