This is an exempt position at an annual salary of $80,168.40 and offers full benefits; Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K matching and company paid Life Insurance. Successful candidates must be able to work in person, interact directly with co-workers and team members, and fully participate in collaborative, in-office activities. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role. Allweather Wood (AWW) is looking for an experienced Sales Associate to join our Inside Sales team at our Washougal, WA sales office. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned. Responsibilities The Inside Sales Associate role will consist primarily of making outbound sales calls via phone to customers in the northwest region and providing administrative and sales support to the outside sales team. Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Contact existing accounts to obtain orders. Plan and organize daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets. Look for opportunities to grow the product mix at existing accounts. Establish new accounts within the territory through prospecting. Monitor current marketplace information on pricing, products, market trends, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques. Measure customer’s pressure treated and redwood business growth by using sales data and product sku mix analysis. Assist with stocking orders for yards by reviewing inventory levels and providing a suggested order list. Facilitate product knowledge events and participate in customer and industry & trade events, as needed. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management. Complete such additional projects as may be directed by sales management, or designee. Participate in customer events as required. Communicate with management by submitting activity and results reports such as daily call reports, weekly and monthly work plans. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of three years’ experience in sales/distribution, preferably in lumber and building materials. Working knowledge of the pressure treated lumber industry preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. Knowledge of inventory software and order processing systems. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to support individuals with disabilities. This position may require extended periods sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of product samples or marketing materials up to 25 pounds. The role requires frequent interaction with customers, vendors, and internal teams through in-person meetings, phone calls, and electronic communication. Occasionally travels by car to visit vendor locations or attend events. Must use a keyboard for extended periods of time while viewing a computer monitor. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to support individuals with disabilities. This position operates in a combination of office, customer site, and field sales environments Work may involve both indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to varying weather conditions when visiting customer sites or participating in industry events.
