If you are looking to advance your career in an encouraging and dynamic environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!</p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities</p>\n<p>As a Phlebotomist at Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital, you will handle a variety of tasks essential to our laboratory operations. Your main responsibilities will include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Collecting accurate and adequate blood specimens by venipuncture or capillary puncture technique, following established laboratory policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Identifying patients' protocols, collecting and labeling all specimens accurately, and detailing collection information.</li>\n <li>Reviewing outstanding specimen reports for the laboratory, microbiology, and blood bank during your shift to identify any uncollected tests and taking appropriate action.</li>\n <li>Processing outpatients accurately, providing instructions and supplies for specimen collection.</li>\n <li>Delivering specimens to the appropriate laboratory section in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Accurately processing all orders in accordance with turnaround time policies.</li>\n <li>Communicating, documenting, and following up on unclear or discrepant orders, and reporting any issues to the Supervisor or Director.</li>\n <li>Performing clerical tasks accurately, including the use of the laboratory computer system.</li>\n <li>Maintaining phlebotomy and meals/breaks logs accurately and timely.</li>\n <li>Knowing and applying criteria for specimen rejection.</li>\n</ul>",
