    "description": "<h2><strong>OVERVIEW</strong></h2>\n<p>S&B is currently seeking a talented and dynamic Senior Process Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have significant refining and simulation experience. The role requires ability to simulate new and existing refining units in support of early FEL project activities. We offer a competitive compensation package, flexible and hybrid work schedules, and a comprehensive benefits program to attract and retain the best professionals in the field.</p>\n<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsible for technical direction and assistance to a group of engineers and technicians assigned to highly complex projects in refineries.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>Normally requires at least a four-year degree in Chemical Engineering.     </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Requires a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience in Process/Design Engineering or related functional area (or equivalent working knowledge/experience). Strongly prefer refining experience.  This includes proficiency in utilizing various computer simulation software packages. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Communicates with client and other team members to determine project requirements and coordinates with site to obtain operations data.</li>\n <li>Simulates new and existing refining facilities to evaluate options and support FEL design.</li>\n <li>Communicates process design to client and other design disciplines.</li>\n <li>Acts as refining subject matter expert for team, providing guidance on preparation of design basis, PFDs, and equipment specifications.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, managers, designers and engineers.     </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Occasionally, will conduct or participate in a field trip to an operating plant or construction site. This requires normal hearing, the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance, clear close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Normal work environment will be a business office with moderate noise. Occasionally, may visit or be temporarily assigned to work in an operating plant or at an construction site.
