Benefits Include:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage</li>\n <li>Prescription Coverage</li>\n <li>Health and Wellness Programs</li>\n <li>401(k) Retirement Savings Plan</li>\n <li>Commuter/Van Services</li>\n <li>Paid Vacation and Holidays</li>\n <li>Paid Training</li>\n <li>Shift Differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift</li>\n <li>Career Advancement Opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Learn more at ebcareers.com </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As Electric Boat continues to support construction of the VIRGINIA Class and COLUMBIA submarine programs, our <strong>Quality Organization</strong> plays a critical role in ensuring every component meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Nuclear Inspectors</strong> verify that the structures, systems, and components supporting submarine nuclear reactors meet the rigorous requirements and standards necessary to ensure the safe operation of our Navy's nuclear fleet.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform non-destructive testing (NDT), including magnetic particle testing (MT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), and other inspection methods on welds and materials used in nuclear submarine construction and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Conduct fabrication and installation verification inspections.</li>\n <li>Apply approved NDT techniques and evaluate the physical condition of systems (piping, structural, electrical, etc.) to verify material is built according to plan and standards.</li>\n <li>Review and interpret drawings, technical specifications, and procedural requirements related to nuclear systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.</strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Required:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED OR 2 plus years of related technical experience.</li>\n <li>1+ years of experience including, but not limited to construction, manufacturing, quality assurance, or repair work.</li>\n <li>Must be able to attain a key department qualification/certification within the first 3 months after starting as a Nuclear Inspector.</li>\n <li>Ability to grind joints and clear indications as needed throughout inspection process.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, blueprints, diagrams, and understand basic layout functions.</li>\n <li>Strong PC skills to include proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.</li>\n <li>Personal integrity and a commitment to uphold the high standards of nuclear work.</li>\n <li>Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperature conditions as required.</li>\n <li>Must be able to successfully pass a Jaeger color vision eye examination.</li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain a non-destructive test (NDT) inspection certification decided by department need.</li>\n <li>Willingness to learn unfamiliar skills (I.E. pipe, mechanical, electrical, shielding) based on departmental needs.</li>\n <li>Must be able to maintain certifications through periodic audits and testing.</li>\n <li>Must be available to work all shifts, weekends and extended hours as business needs dictate.</li>\n <li>May be required to possess their own basic hand tools.</li>\n <li>May be required obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of War.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Inspection/quality assurance experience.</li>\n <li>Previous NDT experience is desired.</li>\n <li>Experience with EB certification and training electronic programs (Mainframe, Electronic Desktop, Cornerstone, etc.).</li>\n <li>Previous experience as a tradesperson or inspector in the piping, mechanical, or structural fields.</li>\n <li>Completion of Vocational, Technical, Community College or Apprentice programs.</li>\n <li>Related military/Navy experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.</li>\n <li>Effective note-taking and documentation skills.</li>\n <li>Adaptability to switch from one job to another as business needs dictate.</li>\n <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment to meet organizational goals.</li>\n <li>Positive, self-motivated attitude with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Qualifications</h2>Climbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting\n<h2>Environmental Attributes</h2>Acids or Alkalis, Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily",
