They must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in our spa’s specific massage and body treatment offerings. They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests. They must hold and maintain a current state license and required insurance.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Greets and completes established procedures for arriving guests by beginning on time for the appointment and completing within the allotted time.</li>\n <li>Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.</li>\n <li>Effectively inform and educate our guests about specific wellness concerns. Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.</li>\n <li>Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.</li>\n <li>Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.</li>\n <li>Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Actively promote home care programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals of 3%.  If 3% is not maintained on a consistent basis, will participate in 1-1 coaching from supervisor to increase performance.</li>\n <li>Actively promote the spa, treatments, services and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.</li>\n <li>Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required.</li>\n <li>Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.</li>\n <li>Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.</li>\n <li>Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.</li>\n <li>Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education/Formal Training</strong></p>\n<p>Must hold and maintain a current state license with a minimum of 500 hours of training. High School diploma or equivalent and required technical certificates</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<p>1 year preferred</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge/Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service issues, including stressful and highly emotional situations.</li>\n <li>Must be highly organized and able to pay attention to minute written and verbal details, particularly when performing multiple tasks.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
