About the Role You’ll be responsible for prepping and painting finished product in our fabrication facility — holding a very high bar for quality and efficiency on every piece that moves through the paint line .
What You’ll Do
• Prep: Prepare steel and aluminum products for paint — the finish is only as good as the prep.
• Spray: Apply primers and paint efficiently to deliver a flawless finished product.
• Quality: Meet quality-control standards for prep, prime, and paint — every piece, every time.
• Improve: Work with management to keep raising quality and efficiency in the paint process.
• Keep It Clean: Maintain housekeeping and tidiness in the paint and prep areas.
• Own Your Work: Complete assigned tasks with accuracy, attention to detail, and minimal supervision in a fast-paced shop.
• Stay Safe: Follow all company policies and safety protocols, and keep to shop working hours.
What You Bring
Must-haves
• Hands-on experience prepping and spray-painting steel or metal products in a shop or manufacturing environment
• Ability to follow work orders, instructions, and finish specifications
• Sharp attention to detail and real pride in a quality finish
• Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 75 lbs throughout the day, and work full 8-hour shifts plus overtime as needed
• Commitment to safety protocols and reliable attendance
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with industrial coatings and primers on structural steel
• Surface-prep or blasting experience (familiarity with SSPC standards a plus)
• Comfort working around overhead cranes and material-handling equipment
S chedule & Work Environment • Full-time shop schedule with overtime as needed
• Fast-paced manufacturing environment — standing for extended periods and lifting up to 75 lbs throughout the day
