It is all reflected in our corporate vision: &ldquo;enhancing life through innovative garment solutions&rdquo;.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The LYCRA Company is seeking an <strong>Industrial Maintenance Mechanic</strong> for our <strong>Waynesboro, VA manufacturing site</strong>. This position creates value by troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment leading to increased uptime and reliability. Maintenance Mechanics are required to have a thorough understanding of safe work practices, and the troubleshooting and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>An Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is expected to:</strong></p><ul><li>Work with pumps, gears, sprockets, pulleys, bearings, seals, piping, and chemicals</li><li>Occasionally work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems</li><li>Work closely with mechanical engineers and researchers</li><li>Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in Benger activities such as safety meetings, safety audits, and other safety related programs</li><li>Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment for improved reliability and uptime&nbsp;</li><li>Support the team through respectful and collaborative behaviors&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain highest level of housekeeping standards for the facility&nbsp;</li><li>Perform repairs and other maintenance activities to specified specifications and standards per procedure&nbsp;</li><li>Foster a supportive team environment</li><li>Document work findings and job status&nbsp;</li><li>Work independently as needed</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>At least 3 years of industrial experience in a maintenance/millwright related full-time position <strong>OR</strong> at least 1 year of industrial experience in a maintenance/millwright related position with 2 years of training at a technical school or relevant military experience/training in a maintenance/millwright related full-time position&nbsp;</li><li>Must be willing and able to work a normal day-based schedule (8hr day-based; 7:00 am - 3:30pm)&nbsp;</li><li>Must be willing and able to work nights and weekends, if needed</li><li>Must be familiar with OSHA Standards&nbsp;</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)</li><li>Ability to wear personal protective equipment including being fit for a respirator <strong>(which requires being clean shaven to ensure respirator seal)</strong></li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working with steam systems and boilers&nbsp;</li><li>Experience working with chemical piping systems&nbsp;</li><li>At least 5 years of industrial experience in a maintenance/millwright related full-time position &nbsp;</li><li>Experience working with SAP &nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Must pass a physical abilities test&nbsp;</li><li>The ability to:&nbsp;<ul><li>Sit (up to 1 hour), stand (up to 6 hours), and walk (up to 1 hour)&nbsp;</li><li>Frequent balancing, twisting, climbing stairs, and reaching&nbsp;</li><li>Occasional driving (automatic and/or manual), bending/stooping, squatting/crouching, kneeling, crawling, and climbing ladder&nbsp;</li><li>Work on or with moving machinery&nbsp;</li><li>Work both indoors and outdoor&nbsp;</li><li>Occasionally lift up to 70 pounds&nbsp;</li><li>Occasionally carry up to 100 pounds&nbsp;</li><li>Occasionally push/pull up to 100 pounds </li></ul></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Compensation/Benefits</u></strong></p><ul><li>We offer a competitive salary, including variable pay and excellent benefits package.</li></ul><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p><strong><em>As a principled-based organization, The LYCRA Company is committed to a fair, respectful, and equitable workplace that embraces diversity and reflects the communities in which it operates.
