The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague – empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.</p><p></p><p>Join us as our <b>Head of Energy – EMEA</b> to continue and grow your career at the forefront of Energy insurance.</p><p>The Head of Energy - EMEA will perform all functions of an EMEA and Cluster PCM: handling budgets, P&amp;L, cross sell, and will be a member of both: the EMEA leadership team and the GCCNA leadership team. Next to being in charge of an existing team of 3 underwriters, all based in Dubai, the role will have accountability for business planning and the execution of strategic initiatives across Europe, including a build-out of the Energy underwriting functions in Germany and Spain.</p><p>Additionally, this role will also be responsible for oversight of underwriting staff, portfolio management, building and enhancing broker and insured relationships, training &amp; developing current underwriting teams, hiring additional staff, maintaining profitability and development/execution of successful business plan.</p><p></p><p><b>TECHNICAL SKILLS &amp; EXPERIENCE:</b></p><ul><li>In depth knowledge in Technical Underwriting with a thorough knowledge of Energy wordings</li><li>Excellent Broker and Client relationships in the GCC and North Africa.</li><li>Fluent English speaker (additionally, Arabic and/or French preferable).</li></ul><ul><li>Broad based insurance industry experience</li><li>Strong relationships with brokerage partners</li></ul><p></p><p><b>LEADERSHIP SKILLS:</b></p><ul><li>Talent assessment and development for bench strength and succession planning.</li><li>Proven collaborative leadership skills.</li><li>Strategic orientation.</li><li>Strong influencing and communications skills and ability to work across multiple areas of company.</li></ul><p>#LI-AIG</p><p></p><p></p><p><span>At AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
