    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>Salary</strong>: $36.10 - $40.65/hour</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Stable and growing organization</li>\n <li>Competitive weekly pay</li>\n <li>Overtime after 40 hours</li>\n <li>Quick advancement</li>\n <li>Quality Hours</li>\n <li>Comprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc.</li>\n <li>Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days</li>\n <li>401(k) plan, Company Match</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Tractor Technicians are to perform maintenance services in which the volume and quality of work is within the acceptably measured standards for Dayton Freight Lines.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understand troubleshooting diesel engine system with ECM diagnostic programs and other troubleshooting techniques</li>\n <li>Capable of diagnosing, repairing, and replacing external engine components</li>\n <li>Test and repair entire truck chassis electrical systems</li>\n <li>Develop skills to become proficient in the repair of all major power and drive train components</li>\n <li>Effectively and efficiently perform PM inspections and services, per DFL policy and time standards</li>\n <li>Able to repair, adjust, and align suspension systems and brake systems</li>\n <li>Maintain the tire maintenance program, per DFL policy</li>\n <li>Perform service calls, per DFL guidelines or individual location guidelines</li>\n <li>Wash and fuel equipment when necessary</li>\n <li>Perform vehicle road tests to ensure quality repair service is performed, if qualified</li>\n <li>Perform other maintenance duties or assignments, as necessary</li>\n <li>Constantly have a positive attitude, interact courteously and professionally with fellow employees</li>\n <li>Develop skills to become a leading participant in the care and upkeep of the shop, the grounds, and all equipment and tools</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean and safe environment that complies with OSHA and company standards</li>\n <li>Record all work and labor on a computer in the EMS system</li>\n <li>Work with the Parts Department to assure that all necessary material; parts, service supplies, and shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levels</li>\n <li>Comply with all Parts Department’s procedures and rules at all times</li>\n <li>Continuously improve processes</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Posses a valid Driver's License</li>\n <li>Basic math skills</li>\n <li>Fluent in English</li>\n <li>Legally eligible to work in the United States</li>\n <li>Must be at least 18 years of age</li>\n <li>Able to pass a drug screen</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Stable and growing organization</li>\n <li>Competitive weekly pay</li>\n <li>Overtime after 40 hours</li>\n <li>Quick advancement</li>\n <li>Quality Hours</li>\n <li>Professional, positive and people-centered work environment</li>\n <li>Modern, organized facility</li>\n <li>Clean, late model equipment</li>\n <li>Safety oriented atmosphere</li>\n <li>Open door policy</li>\n <li>Comprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc.</li>\n <li>Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days</li>\n <li>401(k) plan, Company Match</li>\n</ul>\n<p>   </p>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>This position requires the ability to perform routine physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance and repair in a Service Center and Shop environment.
