This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring at least three days of onsite office attendance on a weekly basis. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Joining the water engineering team at GFT means contributing to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure. Explore some of our signature water resources and environmental projects here.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Fall 2026 graduates are encouraged to apply!</strong></em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you’ll be challenged to do:</strong></p>\n<p>The Entry Level CAD Technician is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans to support a variety of engineering projects. This role involves working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality work that meets project specifications and industry standards.</p>\n<p><strong>In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop detailed technical drawings and plans for water/wastewater infrastructure projects.</li>\n <li>Collect and analyze field data to support the design and development of project plans.</li>\n <li>Utilize advanced CADD software to produce construction documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with engineers and other design team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.</li>\n <li>Interpret and apply design manuals, guidelines, and standards, with support and review from senior staff as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>What you will bring to our firm: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate’s degree in CADD Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering or a related field.</li>\n <li>0-3 years of relevant experience in civil, infrastructure or water projects.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated interest in civil, infrastructure or water design through prior internships, work experiences, or applied academic coursework. </li>\n <li>Proficiency in CADD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).</li>\n <li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.</li>\n <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>What we prefer you bring:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prior working experience with ArcGIS and AutoCAD.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p>\n<p>The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000.
