of our Family </span><span>and Youth </span><span>Housing team to </span><span>support</span><span> young adults (ages 18-24) </span><span>living in a supportive housing apartment building in Edina, MN</span><span>. </span><span>The goals of the program are to partner with </span><span>young </span><span>adults </span><span>to </span><span>obtain and</span><span> </span><span>r</span><span>etain</span><span> stable housing, increase economic resources, and </span><span>improve </span><span>overall stability </span><span>outcomes for </span><span>each household.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>Hours for this position are </span><span>generally Mondays-Fridays</span><span>, 9am-5pm, with       Responsibilities</span></span></span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Support Specialist participants</span><span>:</span></span></span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Complete intakes and </span><span>assist</span><span> with housing placement of new participants.  </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Orient participants to </span><span>Simpson</span><span> policies/procedures.  </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Meet weekly for 60 minutes or more with </span><span>each household</span><span> at their place of residence</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Partner with participants to develop self-defined goals focused on improving stability and achieving greater independence.  </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Provide transportation </span><span>assistance</span><span> and </span><span>accompany</span><span> to appointments related to their goals.  </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Support and explore community resources when participants are struggling with mental health concerns and healthy functioning.  </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Support skill development to achieve a greater level of autonomy. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Simultaneously working with </span><span>individuals or </span><span>parents</span><span> to improve health and educational outcomes and strengthen community barriers to housing: such as a lack of proper ID, </span><span>evictions</span><span> and/or criminal record expungement, etc.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Build relationships with </span><span>property management</span><span> to </span><span>facilitate</span><span> effective</span><span> communication with </span><span>participants to </span><span>securing</span><span> housing</span><span> as well as address and </span><span>ongoing tenancy concerns</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Facilitate one on one</span><span> tenancy education</span><span> with each household</span><span> to</span><span> understand their lease and know their rights and responsibilities as a tenant.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Partner with participants to obtain furniture and other necessary household items.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Partner with </span><span>participants </span><span>to address
