This person should have a strong focus on day-to-day bookkeeping&#8212;AP, AR, and managing accounting entries across operating accounts. Given the nature of this business, it&#8217;s critical that this person has experience within CPG&#8212;ideally someone who understands manufacturing, COGS, wholesale distribution, and can navigate distributor chargebacks and deductions.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including <strong>accounts payable (AP)</strong> and <strong>accounts receivable (AR)</strong></li><li>Maintain and reconcile <strong>general ledger accounts</strong> and <strong>operating bank accounts</strong></li><li>Track and record <strong>COGS (Cost of Goods Sold)</strong> and inventory-related transactions</li><li>Process and manage <strong>wholesale invoices</strong>, payments, and remittances</li><li>Reconcile and manage <strong>distributor chargebacks and deductions</strong></li><li>Assist with <strong>month-end and year-end closing</strong> processes</li><li>Work closely with operations and finance teams to ensure <strong>accurate expense classification</strong></li><li>Monitor and report on <strong>cash flow</strong>, outstanding balances, and collections</li><li>Maintain records for <strong>sales tax</strong>, <strong>vendor payments</strong>, and other compliance-related items</li><li>Collaborate with external accountants or CPAs as needed for audits or filings</li><li>Perform ad hoc administrative, business operations, and special projects tasks as needed</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)</li><li><strong>3+ years of bookkeeping experience</strong>, preferably in a <strong>CPG or manufacturing environment</strong></li><li>Strong understanding of <strong>CPG accounting workflows</strong>, including COGS, wholesale, and inventory</li><li>Experience navigating <strong>distributor deductions</strong>, <strong>chargebacks</strong>, and <strong>trade spend</strong></li><li>Proficiency in accounting software such as <strong>QuickBooks</strong>, <strong>NetSuite</strong>, or similar platforms</li><li>Solid understanding of <strong>GAAP</strong> and financial reporting principles</li><li>Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate cross-functionally</li><li>Professional fluency in English with excellent written, reading, and speaking skills</li><li><strong>Ability to work in any US time zone, Monday to Friday (8 hours per day)</strong></li><li>Previous experience working the overnight shift</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive pay, always in US dollars</li><li>Work remotely from the comfort of your home</li><li>Health &amp; wellness benefit</li><li>Paid holidays and time off</li><li>Performance and referral bonuses</li><li>Global exposure to the world&#8217;s best companies</li></ul>",
