We are focused on providing design, engineering and environmental services that contribute to climate adaptation and mitigation, sustain the use and protection of water and marine resources, protect and restore biodiversity, and support our clients as they transition to low carbon solutions.&nbsp; Our experts work together to offer our clients services that live up to our vision: to meet the highest standards in the industry and innovate to exceed them.&nbsp;</p><hr><p><strong>Your Impact</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>You will be the Technical&nbsp;Market Leader for Energy, reporting to Vice-President-Energy&nbsp;</li><li>You will be responsible for&nbsp;leading and&nbsp;growing the Energy&nbsp;practice in Western Canada&nbsp;</li><li>You will act as&nbsp;a&nbsp;thought&nbsp;leader, applying advanced in-depth and&nbsp;broad knowledge and&nbsp;be externally recognized as a&nbsp;top “go-to”&nbsp;resource in&nbsp;their field</li><li>You will make decisions&nbsp;on highly&nbsp;complex issues regarding work approach for&nbsp;project components and&nbsp;completion of team tasks and responsibilities</li><li>You will anticipate business needs, secure required resources, and&nbsp;lead initiatives&nbsp;to implement change in the organization</li><li>You will make recommendations and&nbsp;be involved with important decision-making on highly technical and&nbsp;complex aspects of WSP&nbsp;projects &nbsp;</li><li>You will be accountable to lead&nbsp;certain client accounts&nbsp;and engagements&nbsp;within the Energy Group&nbsp;</li><li>You will support the growth&nbsp;of technical&nbsp;disciplines required for Energy&nbsp;</li><li>You will ensure&nbsp;compliance with all relevant regulations&nbsp;and standards and&nbsp;provide oversight and governance on the various&nbsp;major&nbsp;project ongoing within the Energy team</li><li>You will provide governance on Energy jobs including quality, and&nbsp;provide&nbsp;leadership on Energy proposals&nbsp;</li><li>You will collaborate with other internal&nbsp;departments and stakeholders to improve&nbsp;quality and project delivery, including management of subconsultants &nbsp;</li><li>You will mentor and&nbsp;coach&nbsp;other Energy staff as required.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><hr><p><strong>The Skills That Set You Apart</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>At least 18 years experience with more at least 10&nbsp;years’ experience <strong>in a&nbsp;leadership role&nbsp;</strong>in the Energy sector;</li><li>MUST have hands-on experience with Project Delivery;</li><li>Engineering degree in a related&nbsp;discipline or technical&nbsp;diploma from&nbsp;post-secondary institution is required;</li><li>Proven experience in&nbsp;business&nbsp;development with an existing network in the Western Canadian Energy market within British Columbia;&nbsp;</li><li>Strong financial and&nbsp;business acumen&nbsp;- experience with managing business operations and/or a P&amp;L is an asset;</li><li>Demonstrate a strong understanding of the energy sector, including key industry trends and emerging technologies related to LNG, energy transformation, and decarbonization.</li><li>Ability to negotiate and build relationships with&nbsp;clients;&nbsp;</li><li>P.Eng. or P.Tech.&nbsp;designation is an asset;&nbsp;</li><li>Bilingual in&nbsp;both&nbsp;French and English is an asset.</li></ul><hr><p><strong>Why Choose WSP?</strong></p><p>We exist to shape communities to advance humanity.
