In addition, as a proven expert, the Executive Underwriter will also support the business as it pertains to participating in speaking engagements, networking opportunities, and industry forums as necessary. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Production and underwriting of new and renewal accounts.</li>\n <li>Compliance with underwriting documentation rules and guidelines.</li>\n <li>Maintains an acceptable underwriting profit.</li>\n <li>Adherence to Berkley Specialty Excess underwriting guidelines and referral compliance.</li>\n <li>Development and maintenance of key broker/agent relationships.</li>\n <li>Participates in all internal company training and continuing education.</li>\n <li>Remains current on product releases as it pertains to LOB.</li>\n <li>Management and development of business and broker relationships new to the organization.</li>\n <li>Responsible for the overall management, business development, analysis and monitoring of their book of business.</li>\n <li>Stays abreast and knowledgeable on market trends in terms of forms, coverage and appetite to maintain competitiveness.</li>\n <li>Functions as referral authority for Associate Underwriters and Underwriters.</li>\n <li>Leverage skills and expertise outside of desk responsibilities, including participation in marketing/public speaking events.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>10 + years of commercial insurance underwriting experience, preferably in E&S markets.</li>\n <li>Technical knowledge of general casualty lines of coverage, other lines of experience a plus.</li>\n <li>Experience with excess casualty contractual wording, rating methodologies, financial analysis, and policy structure</li>\n <li>Up to 25% travel.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Education</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent insurance experience required.</li>\n <li>Coursework toward applicable designation (including but not limited to CPCU, RPLU, etc.) desired.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Company Details</h2>We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting agencies or firms.
