We have ten centers across the St. Louis Metro area serving individuals recovering from a traumatic injury or illness who no longer require 24-hour nursing or acute rehabilitative care. If you like working in a dynamic, collaborative environment and are passionate about helping the neurological and medically complex patient, apply today to explore a new career opportunity with us!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why Join Us: (benefits for full-time at 32+ hours/week)</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Start Strong</strong>: Our mentorship and orientation programs ensure a successful transition</li>\n <li><strong>Recharge & Refresh:</strong> Generous PTO to maintain a healthy work-life balance</li>\n <li><strong>Your Health Matters: </strong>Comprehensive medical/RX, health, vision, and dental plan offerings</li>\n <li><strong>Invest in Your Future: </strong>Company-matching 401(k) retirement plans as well as life and disability protection</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>COTAs perform patient-related tasks assigned by the therapist, including but not limited to:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Under the direct supervision of licensed OT, assists with the implementation of therapy plan of care in the Day Room Setting</li>\n <li>Responsible for delegation an direction of support personnel for those assigned patients, in order to enhance patient care services in the Day Room Setting</li>\n <li>Participates in education of patients, families, coworkers, and self</li>\n <li>Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice</li>\n <li>Assists patients to/from mats, wheelchairs, other equipment as appropriate; assist patients with transfer activities</li>\n <li>Assists with patient-related treatment activities as appropriate</li>\n <li>Engages with patients, supporting therapeutic goals in individual and group settings; Task initiation and group facilitation</li>\n <li>Documentation and billing/charging of skilled activities as applicable </li>\n <li>Upgrading and downgrading tasks for patient engagement</li>\n <li>Plans and transports for Community Reintegration Outings</li>\n <li>Maintains the clinic and clinic equipment in a clean and orderly condition</li>\n <li>Transports patients to /from therapy as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Education: Associate's Degree in an OT Assistant program required</li>\n <li>Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required</li>\n <li>Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification</li>\n <li>Current State Driver’s License in good standing required: Acquisition of a Class E license allowing for the operation of the bus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>CPR certification</li>\n <li>First aid certification</li>\n <li>Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy center</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<h2>Additional Data</h2>\n<p><em>Equal Opportunity Employer/including Disabled/Veterans</em></p>",
