This position will travel at least 25% of the time.</p><p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information</strong></p><p>Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Interpret and apply UL, IEEE, ANSI, CSA, IEC, and utility specifications to equipment under testing (EUT)</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Conduct on-site and laboratory-based design reviews, construction inspections, and compliance assessments</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Develop test plans, evaluation strategies, and certification pathways aligned to project scope and customer needs</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Witness or conduct testing related to:<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Dielectric withstand &amp; insulation coordination</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Temperature rise &amp; current ratings</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Grounding &amp; bonding</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Mechanical integrity &amp; enclosure protection</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Environmental exposure &amp; abnormal/fault conditions</li></ul></li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Support preliminary design reviews (PDRs) for utility-facing and grid-connected equipment</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Assist customers in resolving nonconformances and design gaps identified during evaluations</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Develop laboratory capabilities to expand certification scope</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Develop and execute training plans for less tenured engineers as well as provide mentorship for their project-work</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Participate in standard development committees and report upcoming regulation changes to Chief Engineer(s)</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Conduct audits at customer facilities and other Intertek locations</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Participate in audits that take place at the Intertek Plano facility and assist in resolving identified non-conformities</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Travel to customer facilities, factories, and substations as required</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Other tasks as assigned by management</li></ul><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p>This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details.
