The incumbent Officer proactively guards against fire, theft, vandalism and unauthorized entry to SHG grounds and/or buildings while controlling access points.\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent required, associates degree preferred.</li>\n <li>Prior military, security, corrections, police, or relevant experience a plus.</li>\n <li>May require obtaining Special Police/Constable powers within a designated municipality.</li>\n <li>Over three months up to and including one year of experience is required.</li>\n <li>A valid Drivers License is required.</li>\n <li>Must have, or have the ability to obtain within a six month to one-year period, a Massachusetts Fire Arms Identification Card, and License to Carry Firearms (Pistol Permit).</li>\n <li>Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) De-Escalation Training; OC Pepper (OCAT), Handcuffing (PATH), Baton (PPBT) education and training within 120 days of hire.</li>\n <li> BLS, CPR and First Responder certification required within 120 days of hire.</li>\n <li>Is eligible to obtain appointment as a special police officer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts under MGL c.22C Section 63 or as a New Bedford Special Police Officer under city/NBPD requirements.</li>\n <li>Must obtain International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security (IAHSS) Basic Officer Certification within one year of appointment.</li>\n <li><p>Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired. </p><p> </p></li>\n <li><p>Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. </p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Range</h2>USD $22.22 - USD $30.30 /Hr.",
