    "jobDescription": "<p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Job Posting End Date</b></p>06-19-2026<p style=\"text-align:left\">Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date</p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Job Summary </b></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p>Assist the Auxiliary Equipment Operator in manipulating and adjusting the nuclear plant auxiliary equipment other than from in the control room in a safe and reliable manner.<br><br>Please note: Cook Nuclear Plant is recruiting multiple Utility Operators to be part of our next UO Class which will start early November 2026.<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>Job Description</b></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p><b>What You&#39;ll Do:</b></p><ul><li>Operate, align, verify alignment of auxiliary systems according to approved procedures and instructions.</li><li>Inspect assigned areas, inspect running equipment for proper operation and valve alignment, and standby equipment for readiness.</li><li>Clear, tag, and return equipment to service as directed and in accordance to Clearance Permit System.</li><li>Take readings, record data and make appropriate entries in station logs, complete procedural paperwork.</li><li>Report and maintain log of unusual events and changes in operating conditions.</li><li>Support and participate in the Emergency Plan Organization, HAZMAT response organization, and Corrective Action Program activities as assigned, and in accordance with procedures and policies applicable for the assigned role.</li><li>Responsible for continuously upgrading knowledge and skill.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What We&#39;re Looking For:</b></p><p>Education:</p><ul><li>High School graduate or GED.</li></ul><p></p><p>Work Experience:</p><ul><li>Entry Level.</li></ul><p></p><p>Other Requirements:</p><ul><li>Must be able to pass the preemployment POSS Test.Specific knowledge of nuclear standards and nuclear policies, practices and procedures relating to plant operations.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>Effective writing and verbal communication skills.</li></ul><p></p><p>Physical Demands:</p><ul><li>May perform walk downs in plant environment which may include exposure to heat, cold, noise, and radiation exposure</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What You&#39;ll Get:</b></p><p><b>In addition to competitive compensation, AEP offers a unique comprehensive benefits package that aims to support and enhance the overall well-being of our employees.</b></p><p></p><p><b>The power of AEP comes from our valued team of unique employees...the best in the business!
