    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>This Opportunity</p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">WSP is initiating a search for a <strong>Sr. Environmental Engineer</strong> located in our <strong>Jacksonville, FL – Baymeadows Road office</strong>. This is an opportunity to be involved in projects with WSP’s <strong>Earth &amp; Environment Team</strong> and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. The Engineer will provide technical assistance for the development of environmental due diligence, environmental site assessment and/or monitoring, and environmental remediation projects. Technical tasks may include assisting with development and implementation of site assessment work plans and remedial action plans; directing field activities through subcontractor procurement and real-time communication with field staff; and evaluation of environmental conditions. The Engineer will also contribute to the development of concise and accurate technical reports including conclusions and recommendations.</p><p>Your Impact</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Manage environmental assessment activities, including identifying and compiling of data from a variety of sample matrices (soil, soil gas, sediment, surface water, and/or groundwater) and contaminant types (volatile organic substances, metals, pesticides, per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances).</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Design soil and groundwater remediation plans using a variety of technologies, including soil excavation, soil vapor extraction, and enhanced bioremediation.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Oversee and monitor local and/or remote teams in executing project work, including tracking project budgets, labor hours, expenses, and subcontractor costs.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, models, cross-sections, and other illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of complex data, findings, or analyses.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prepare comprehensive technical reports that describe methodologies, analytical results, conclusions, and recommendations to address environmental findings.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and technical staff in a confident and professional manner.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.</p></li></ul><p>Who You Are</p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related engineering discipline.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in environmental engineering.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Demonstrated experience in the evaluation and design of modified active gas sampling and soil vapor extraction systems, including pre-design field surveys, and implementation oversight.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientated attitude, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Project management experience and capability to successfully execute project work within budget and schedule for small to medium sized projects (typically &lt;$200K).</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies, including site specific Health and Safety Plans</p></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain one within first year of employment.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Experience working with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Waste Cleanup Program - Waste Site Cleanup Section. Experience with the Waste Site Cleanup Section - Drycleaning Solvent Cleanup Program is particularly preferred.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">40-Hour OSHA Health &amp; Safety Training (HAZWOPER), Basic First Aid, and Adult CPR training.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may occasionally extend beyond the typical workweek.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rare travel may be required depending on project- or business-specific requirements.</p></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>#LI-BJ1</p>",
