We have locations in Central Alabama and the River Region.</p>\n<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>The Clinical Manager provides oversight of the clinical activity within the practice and handles the training of current and new technicians on exam skills, diagnostic equipment, and new clinical procedures and policies. Efficiently directs the workflow of technicians to ensure smooth patient flow. The Clinical Manager provides leadership, has excellent problem-solving skills, and is knowledgeable of applicable laws, regulations, and standards by JCAHPO and other regulatory agencies.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Training:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop a scalable training strategy to promote skill and service excellence for ophthalmic technicians</li>\n <li>Implement the full training cycle: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation using educational principles and training methods or activities such as tech-based learning, simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, and case studies. Ensuring all training adheres to JCAHPO standards.</li>\n <li>Complete annual/bi-annual skills competencies for all active ophthalmic technicians, senior technicians, lead technicians, and any other clinical staff roles</li>\n <li>Provide training on all new and current diagnostic equipment</li>\n <li>Organize, schedule, and conduct training curriculum for new hire onboarding, re-training of existing staff, the roll out of new initiatives and the use of technology to support workflow and initiatives, EMR, and practice management systems</li>\n <li>Maintains and updates a library of training curricula and materials</li>\n <li>Provide hands-on, on-the-job training within the clinical setting</li>\n <li>Develop needs-based training goals and objectives</li>\n <li>Assess instructional effectiveness and impact of training on employees</li>\n <li>Implements traditional and modern job training methods and techniques to coordinate multiple training events in a corporate or community-based setting for affiliates</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Operations: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Aid with patient flow, diagnostic testing, and technician exam components as needed</li>\n <li>Work with providers to develop a manual of protocols for each provider and keep manuals updated as new providers join the organization or needs to be updated</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Human Resources:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for onboarding of new clinical hires, with focus on skills that may need refining</li>\n <li>Conducts new hire 90 day and annual performance reviews for clinical staff</li>\n <li>Responsible for the disciplinary actions and terminations of employees in conjunction with Human Resources </li>\n <li>Maintain staff training records: audit training records to ensure all evidence of training, certifications, licenses, and credentials are current</li>\n <li>Build a team of trainers and other support staff to support training initiatives </li>\n <li>Adhere to established timeframes for employee training and onboarding procedures in partnership with Human Resources and leadership</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma required, advanced degree preferred, JCAHPO certification required</li>\n <li> COT preferred, COA required</li>\n <li>5 years Ophthalmology experience preferred </li>\n <li>Experience conducting or developing training program(s) preferred </li>\n <li>Proven ability to educate and train clinical staff </li>\n <li>Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible operations experience in a clinical healthcare environment required</li>\n <li>Ability to travel via car, plane, or bus as needed, up to 50% of the time</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Benefits</h2>\n<p>We offer a competitive benefits package to our employees:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical</li>\n <li>Dental</li>\n <li>Vision</li>\n <li>401k w/ Match</li>\n <li>HSA/FSA</li>\n <li>Telemedicine</li>\n <li>Generous PTO Package</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We also offer the following benefits for FREE:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Employee Discounts and Perks</li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Group Life/AD&D </li>\n <li>Short Term Disability Insurance </li>\n <li>Long Term Disability Insurance </li>\n</ul>\n<p>EyeSouth Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
