    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Position Summary: </strong>The Certified Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for providing quality member service in their certified content area through safe, structured class instruction. He/she will promote the consistent delivery of member/customer service.</p><p>\n<strong>Education, License &amp; Cert: </strong>1.\tCurrent certifications in health and fitness field or content area from a nationally recognized certifying agency preferred.\n2.\tCurrent CPR and First Aid certifications preferred. &nbsp;\n3.\tMust possess excellent public relations, communication, motivational and coaching skills. &nbsp;\n4.\tMust possess competent knowledge of exercise principles, fitness testing, health risks and fitness program design.</p><p>\n<strong>Experience: </strong>Minimum of one years’ experience in the health center environment preferred.\n</p><p><strong>Essential Functions: </strong>1.\tPromotes the philosophy that all individuals entering the center should be treated with respect, kindness, empathy and professionalism.\n2.\tKeeps up to date on all center rules, programs, costs, hours of operation, special events and staffing personnel, and gives out accurate information to all inquiries.\n3.\tProvides notice of class cancellations at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible.\n4.\tFollows all security and safety procedures.\n5.\tMonitors communication log daily, and contributes notes and messages as needed.\n6.\tHelps to develop and execute aspects of the marketing plan related to Group Fitness.\n7.\tSupervises members’ fitness programs and attends to his/her needs in a friendly, polite, courteous and professional manner.\n8.\tAssists the Fitness Coordinator in the development of fitness programs and services which enhance the member's experience in the Center and improve member retention.\n9.\tPromotes member programs and services to all members and encourages cross training and fun activity to attain his/her fitness and health goals.\n10.\tExhibits good listening skills when member or staff issues arise, and problem solves professionally. &nbsp;Defers to Group Fitness Coordinator if issues need further arbitration.\n</p><p><strong>Other Duties: </strong>1. &nbsp;Travel for this position is sometimes required between Guthrie entities\n2. &nbsp;Participation in community and employee engagement activities is required.\n3. &nbsp;It is understood that this description is not intended to be all‐inclusive and that other duties may be assigned as necessary in the performance of this position.</p><p>The contracted rate of pay for this position is $28.00/hr</p><p>\n</p>",
