    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Retina Consultants of Texas (RCTX) is seeking an Ophthalmic Photographer to join our innovative team with the mission of Fighting Blindness For The World To See. This position will be responsible for providing accurate fundus, anterior segment and external photography as order by the eye care provider while maintaining patient flow and communication regarding appointment status within a high-volume practice. This position will be based out of Bellaire Clinic. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Candidates must be able to travel to various clinics to meet the needs of the patients and providers, and support the Clinic hours of Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30am-6:30pm. Schedules are provided weekly and are based on the provider's clinic, patient and surgery schedules. Clinic staff are provided with the opportunity for weekend hours if available.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Retina Consultants of Texas is the largest and most respected retina-only ophthalmology practice in the United States. It is our belief that by investing in our people, our people will be empowered of their own accord to provide the highest quality patient experience.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In addition to being highly challenged professionally, in joining our practice, the following competitive benefits for full-time eligible employees after a 60-day introductory period: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Employee Paid Benefits such as Medical, Dental, and Vision, short-term disability, voluntary life insurance, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, pet insurance, HSA pre-taxed contributions, 401 (k) retirement savings contributions both Roth and Traditional options starting date of hire.</li>\n <li>Employer Paid Benefits such as long-term disability, $25,000 basic life insurance policy, 3% 401(k) safe harbor contribution, HSA employer contributions, annual performance merit increases, certification opportunities, rewards & recognition platform, WellHub Starter Plan Gym Membership, paid time off and (8) paid holidays + (1) floating holiday annually.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>RCTX is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, military service, veteran status, genetic information, or any other protected class under applicable law.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs fundus, anterior segment and external photography as ordered by the eye care provider.</li>\n <li>Performs intravenous fluorescein angiographies and/or indocyanine green angiographies as ordered by the eye care provider.</li>\n <li>Performs scanning computerized ophthalmic diagnostic imaging (i.e. OCT, HRT) as ordered by the eye care provider.</li>\n <li>Obtains informed consent form as it applies to angiographies.</li>\n <li>Processes film; mounts and labels slides; maintains film log and/or back ups of digital database regularly.</li>\n <li>Maintains camera(s), related equipment and inventory of supplies.</li>\n <li>Maintains all patient-related records as they pertain to imaging systems.</li>\n <li>Maintains records of work performed.</li>\n <li>Obtains images for physician presentations as necessary.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Two to three years experience in ophthalmic photography and digital imaging.</li>\n <li>CRA and JCAHPO certification preferred. </li>\n <li>CPR certification necessary. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of ocular anatomy.</li>\n <li>Computer literacy.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills.</li>\n <li>Strong team orientation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL ABILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires normal range of eyesight to perform necessary tasks involved with the photographing of images and developing of slides and film.</li>\n <li>Involves working in a small space in dimly-lit, or dark room.</li>\n</ul>",
