Ensures coordination of services and effective communication with patients, physicians, and staff to support efficient patient care delivery. Reports to: Patient Access Supervisor-Sch/PreReg FLSA Status: Non-exempt Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, or a minimum of three years of directly related experience may be substituted in lieu of education. Required Skills: Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment with ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize work based on patient and departmental needs Proficiency with standard office equipment (computer, copier, telephone, fax, scanner) Computer experience required Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and/or collections preferred Minimum Work Experience: Prior scheduling experience in a healthcare environment strongly preferred.
