    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px;\">Occupational Therapy Assistant</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px;\">Description</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Performs professional Occupational Therapy activities consisting of planning and implementing individual and group treatment activities in a collaborative child- and family-centered service delivery model.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position.  Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position. </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Inform patient and family goals and progress.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Maintain a full-time caseload that may include children and families receiving services through insurance, school-based services, consultation, or private pay models of service delivery.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">May supervise students.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Responsibilities and Requirements unique to this location:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px;\">Must be willing to become proficient in working with children with vision issues.  </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px;\">Provide and gain expertise in feeding therapy as it relates to sensory development and progression</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px;\">Work two days a week until 6 pm - most children will not be diagnosed with vision therapy needs until they are school aged. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px;\">Participate in continuing education/training geared towards vision and feeding therapy</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;\">Understand and incorporate vision development if indicated in OT plan of care.</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;\">Fine motor performance as it relates to vision development</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;\">Reflex Integration exercises.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: 15px;\"></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Skills, Qualifications, and Certifications/Licensure Requirements</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Current license from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as an Occupational Therapist OR eligible to sit for the exam. License must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;\">Professional writing skills that include the ability to reflect medical necessity in documentation and communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team as well as other stakeholders in a child’s plan of care. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px;\">Time management skills necessary to meet clinic requirements for clinician efficiency as well as documentation and billing timeframes.</span></li>\n</ul>",
