Description Looking for a hands-on role where you can make an immediate impact? We're hiring a Temporary Maintenance Worker to support our team and help keep our facility safe, clean, and running smoothly. This is a great opportunity to jump in, contribute right away, and be part of a team that truly values reliability, teamwork, and strong work ethics. While this position is temporary, the work you do will be essential. Your skills will directly support daily operations and help create a better environment for everyone. Under the general supervision of the EH&S Director / Facilities Engineer, the Temporary Facilities Maintenance Worker will perform a variety of skilled and semiskilled work in the maintenance, construction, and repair of Sonoma County Indian Health Project, Inc. (SCIHP) buildings and equipment. The Facilities Maintenance Worker will work collaboratively with the Environment Health & Safety team to carry out the maintenance needs of SCIHP. Qualifications Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Two (2) Years of Facilities Maintenance experience. Experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and/or Carpentry is preferred. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Must maintain a valid, unrestricted California Driver’s license and ability to be insurable under SCIHP’s automobile insurance. Safely perform facilities maintenance work that may include both skilled and semi-skilled work. Will perform assignments that involve both shop and field work. Most assignments can be done on an individual basis; however, assistance can be provided as needed. Utilizes GSA, SCIHP or rented vehicles to pick up and deliver materials or perform maintenance of satellite clinics. Possess exceptional problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and maintain confidentiality. Effective verbal, listening and communication skills. Must possess current CPR certification. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background investigation. Drug -Free Workplace: This is a zero-tolerance environment for drugs and alcohol.
