If our requirements fit your background, we want to talk with you!\n\nWe value and promote the diversity of our workforce.\n\nThis is an onsite position based out of our Newark, CA office, with a 2 day per week remote work option.\n\n Requirements\n\n YOU NEED :\n\n BSME required, MSME preferred\n\n Minimum of 8+ years of technical system level design experience – from architectural definition to design to release to manufacturing\n Project Management experience leading a cross functional team\n Mechatronics expertise: motors, bearings, gear trains, belt drives, and sensors\n Experience with motion control hardware including motors (steppers, servos, dc motors) and position sensors (encoders, limit switches etc.)\n Experience with end effector design is a plus\n Multiple projects designed, fabricated, and tested\n Automation experience for industrial applications and manufacturing lines\n Hands on system bring up and integration with a cross functional team\n ME analysis experience in kinematics, structural, thermal and tolerances,\n Materials and component selection expertise\n Proficient in Solidworks CAD and FEA\n Experience with life science instrument and/or medical device design is a plus\n\n PLUS: \n\n Client interface capability and experience\n Hands on practical performance in shop/lab work\n Design for manufacturability (high/low volume)\n Project and technical reporting\n Understanding of ISO 13485 (a plus)\n\n RESPONSIBILITIES: \n\n Lead a mechanical engineering team designing products with multiple, powered DOFs.\n Design, build and testing of systems and critical components\n Brainstorm, design, and compare potential product architectures against client metrics.\n Identify and perform critical engineering analyses and tests from concept evaluations to production verification\n Assist client to define product specifications, schedules and resource planning\n Manage project budget, schedule, and deliverables as the primary point of contact with clients.
