With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Role description:</strong></p>\n<p>Arcadis is seeking an Industrial Hygiene and Safety Professional to join our Sustainable Operations team in&nbsp;the Novi, Michigan office.&nbsp;This will be&nbsp;approximately 75% field work and 25% office work. Projects will primarily consist of asbestos, lead-paint, hazardous building materials,&nbsp;indoor air&nbsp;quality/mold, IH exposure monitoring, building characterization assessments, soil/water sampling, project monitoring/oversite, and report preparation. Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience and possess the proper licenses and credentials to complete the job.&nbsp;Specific training will be provided by Arcadis.</p>\n<p>As a Consultant with Arcadis, you'll soon discover you can make a difference in our company by collaborating with staff and contributing to an interesting array of projects. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Role accountabilities:</strong></p>\n<p>As an Industrial Hygiene and Safety Professional you will complete surveys, bulk sampling abatement oversite, air monitoring and assessments of various types of projects, including but not limited to manufacturing plants, warehouses, public and private buildings, schools, and residential homes.&nbsp;You will also assist with reports for projects completed using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other various programs as well as scoping projects and preparing proposals with senior staff members.&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Complete asbestos and lead-paint surveys and abatement projects, indoor air and mold investigations and mold/water damage remediation projects, ventilation assessments, and the development and review of health and safety plans (HASPs).</li>\n <li>Work in a client-oriented consulting environment with focus on industrial hygiene practice, specifically asbestos, lead-paint, and hazardous building materials management, indoor air quality and mold evaluations, and chemical exposure assessments.</li>\n <li>Be mentored by senior members of the EH&amp;S consulting discipline from a technical and business prospective.</li>\n <li>Mentor and assist junior level staff members within the Industrial Hygiene group.</li>\n <li>Perform inspections/surveys for asbestos, lead, mold (water intrusion), IAQ, and other regulated building materials.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>In this role you must be willing to travel as needed and may include overnight trips, possess a valid driver license, be able to pass medical exam and medically cleared to wear negative pressure respirator, and be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. of equipment throughout an 8-hour shift.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p>\n<p>Required Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor of Science in a science related discipline or equivalent years of experience.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in the professional services or consulting business.</li>\n <li>State specific asbestos training and licensure.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, and state regulations for asbestos, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER</li>\n <li>Experience with report preparation</li>\n <li>Industry recognized certification in industrial hygiene (e.g. CIH, IHT) and/or indoor environmental or air quality consulting (e.g. CIEC, CIAQP)</li>\n <li>NIOSH 582 training</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Why Arcadis?</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
