Do you have experience supporting the environmental planning and execution of large infrastructure federal government projects?</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Avid Core is seeking an Environmental Outreach Specialist with experience in environmental planning, infrastructure planning, and strategic stakeholder outreach for the federal government.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">To Apply:</span> Submit resumes and cover letters through this posting. Applications without cover letters will not be considered.    </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Candidates from all backgrounds are welcome to apply for our open positions and to join our bench of talented professionals.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Salary Range:</span> $55,000–$75,000, based on experience and qualifications. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Overall Responsibilities:</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the environmental planning team in the planning and execution of large infrastructure projects.</li>\n<li>Develop outreach material, such as talking points, presentations, memorandums, letters, website postings, and briefings.</li>\n<li>Review project technical requirements and provide input on potential environmental sensitive resources and the strategy for federal, state, and local government outreach and communication.</li>\n<li>Review environmental documents, including biological and cultural resource survey documents, and provide technical input and advice on strategy and next actions.</li>\n<li>Review project schedule for multiple large infrastructure projects, to include key milestone dates, deadlines, consultation periods, internal/external review periods, meetings, and events.</li>\n<li>Review and prepare coordination or consultation letters.</li>\n<li>Schedule and attend meetings and prepare talking points and after-action reports detailing the meeting notes and action items.</li>\n<li>Maintain a list of tracked action items and assist with the closure of those items.</li>\n<li>Participate in project execution and construction calls to document environmental and stakeholder coordination actions.</li>\n<li>Review Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and provide technical input and strategic approaches to minimize sensitive environmental and cultural resources.</li>\n<li>Maintain project documentation files and track points of contact, and key activities.</li>\n<li>Develop weekly and monthly progress reports detailing key project activities.</li>\n<li>Provide acquisition support as needed including developing scopes of work and cost estimates.</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications/Skills:</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of environmental planning documentation and requirements (National Environmental Policy Act, section 7 Endangered Species Act, section 106 National Historic Preservation Act, etc.) is required</li>\n<li>Experience reviewing environmental and cultural survey documentation</li>\n<li>Experience using GIS desired.</li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel is a must; and Power BI tools is a plus. </li>\n<li>Experience with large infrastructure projects is a plus.</li>\n<li>Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We’re looking for someone who is: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Able to manage multiple high-priority tasks. </li>\n<li>Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment. </li>\n<li>Able to manage and follow up on deadlines, as well as to identify and recommend solutions and next steps. </li>\n<li>Fun and energetic. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Ecology, Archaeology, Environmental Studies, or equivalent.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comprehensive employer paid health insurance for employee</li>\n<li>Vision, dental, and short-term and long-term disability </li>\n<li>401K with employer match (after six months of employment) </li>\n<li>Federal and non-federal paid holidays </li>\n<li>Flexible paid time off</li>\n<li>Generous bonus program based on firm and individual performance </li>\n<li>An opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment with a fun team </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location:</span> </p>\n<p>The position is remote; however, the candidate must be able to commute to the client location in Washington, DC for ad-hoc project meetings.
