Team & Culture We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter/Detailer with a strong background in civil construction to support our growing portfolio of projects. This office-based role can be located in Vancouver, Hope, or Kelowna, BC, with flexibility for remote work from project sites as required. The successful candidate will play a key role in drafting and design support for multiple projects, working closely with our survey team, Quality Control (QC), and site operations teams. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to adapt to the dynamic demands of each project. You will be part of a collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D software to create detailed designs and drafting for civil construction projects, including grading tools, alignments, corridors, and CSV stakeout files based on IFC drawings. Perform drafting tasks related to earthworks, dams, pipelines, road alignments, and building excavations, ensuring accuracy and precision. Process and compile survey data to produce comparison reports, sketches, and other project-related documentation. Interpret data for various construction-related analyses, including pre-pour, topographic, volume, shim, plumbness, deviation, and as-built reports. Collaborate with the Quality Control team to meet reporting requirements and ensure project compliance. Maintain organized drawing and survey logs for accurate record-keeping. Provide support to field surveying and drone surveying initiatives as needed. Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables. Manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines. Required Qualifications & Skills 2+ years of experience as a drafter or CAD technician in civil construction. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with proven expertise in grading tools, alignments, corridors, and other related functionalities. A 2-3 year college diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, or a 1-2 year certificate in Civil Engineering Technology. Experience working on projects involving earthworks, dams, pipelines, road alignments, and structural excavations. Familiarity with processing survey data and creating detailed comparison reports and sketches. Strong analytical skills to interpret construction data for various applications, such as topographic surveys and as-built documentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a project team. Field surveying and drone surveying experience is considered an asset. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. #indeedsj
