    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Unity Point St. Luke's-Downtown</p>\n<p>Full Time, Evenings</p>\n<p>Monday-Thursday  3p-11:30p, Fri 11a-7:30p</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Computed Tomography Technologist I performs diagnostic Computed Tomography and X-ray exams (based on department needs) under the direction of a radiologist The Computed Tomography Technologist I provides compassionate direct patient care with an emphasis on maintaining organizational values and standards of behavior. The Computed Tomography Technologist I operates diagnostic CT and X-Ray (as appropriate) equipment to produce diagnostic images of designated portions of the body to meet the national standards for dose reduction and assists radiologists and/or physicians in the administration of contrast media and other medications as required. Is attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence. </li>\n <li>Is responsible for their own actionsand actively works to improve in areas that are lacking.</li>\n <li>Proactively identifies problems and communicates these concerns with CT Leaders, seeks out new responsibilities, acts on opportunities, generates new ideas, practices self-development and continuous learning.</li>\n <li>Practices & monitors radiation protection for patients, employees & oneself during all procedures.</li>\n <li>Disposes of bodily fluids, hazardous materials, and chemicals in an appropriate manner according to OSHA standards and guidelines.</li>\n <li>Adheres to hospital & departmental safety regulations, guidelines, policies, procedures & protocols.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduation of Radiology program accredited through the American Registry of Radiologic Technology approved by IDPH required.  </li>\n <li>ARRT Advanced Level Certification in CT required.  </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree preferred.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Three (3) years of prior CT experience preferred.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>License(s)/Certification(s):</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current, unexpired Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice as a Radiologic Technologist required.  </li>\n <li>Current Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist required.  </li>\n <li>Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) as a Computed Tomography Technologist required.  </li>\n <li>Current CPR certification or obtained within 30 days of hire. </li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons required.  </li>\n</ul>",
