Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must have completed a program of Physical Therapy education appropriate for preparation as a physical therapist which is approved by the American Physical Therapy Association’s Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must hold and maintain a current and valid license by the State of Alabama Board of Physical Therapy as a licensed Physical Therapist.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintain CPR</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in order to communicate effectively and tactfully with staff, vendors, and the general public.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">3.Physical Requirements:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Perform all physical requirements of a full workday.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position and set the proper example of such.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be in good general health and capable of maintaining regular attendance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics allowing all requirements of position be met effectively with support personnel and agencies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this position with or without accommodation and be able to pass a post-employment exam, if required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintains the highest possible level of departmental cleanliness and safety.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Administers physical therapy per physicians’ orders:</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Notes diagnose of patient and take all precautions observing indications and contraindications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Prepares patient for treatment by proper dress and position</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Applies agents such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hot packs, TENS, cold packs, ice massage, spinal manipulation, therapeutic exercise, gait training, therapeutic activity for balance and transfers, tolerance to activity, safety education and HEP.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Observe and evaluate treatment’s effectiveness; recommend changes to physician if indicated. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Communicates with patient throughout treatment and answer all questions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Check frequently on patient during treatment period to satisfy all patient needs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Returns equipment and supplies to proper storage area.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Make phone calls to referring physicians for clarification or elaboration of treatment orders</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assess, distinguish, report, and act upon all patients’ physical care.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assign patients to staff as needed</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintain records pertinent to patient treatment:</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Evaluate patient and establish treatment programs and goals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Document daily treatment, outcome, treatment changes, and reassessments.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Documents discharge planning.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Supervise all work of staff members.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Care of the physical plant and machinery related to the PT department.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintains standards as established by the American Physical Therapy Association regarding treatment procedure and professional ethics.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner at all times.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Completes PT services in various settings as assigned by Director</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Follows all Policies and Procedures as established within the department/hospital</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Will be available for weekend coverage, as needed/assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>",
