Work hours, days and times will vary based on work requirements.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation: </span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">$22.00 per hour (maximum of 360 hours), mileage reimbursement paid at $0.725 per mile</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">POSITION SUMMARY</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">General statement of duties:</span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> The incumbent will set and collect mosquito traps and prepare the adult mosquitos for shipment, identify mosquito larvae, educate residents on mosquito abatement, investigate mosquito nuisance complaints, maintain accurate records, maintain and store equipment responsibly, and any other mosquito control related tasks as needed.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required education, experience, and training:</span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> Preferred applicant should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a graduate degree in public health, environmental health, animal science or a related field.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Candidate must hold a valid Ohio Driver’s license.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Must have reliable transportation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Must be a dependable individual.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Able to read and understand written instructions and maps. Able to add and subtract whole numbers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Must have an understanding of basic biology or science and be capable of learning to respond to questions and concerns from the general public.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">The technician assists in the operation of the Greene County Public Health Mosquito Control Program.
